In Honor of Pesach – “Each Bottle a Contribution” Campaign by Keren B’chavod:

5 בMarch 2020 23:04 No Comments Evan Cohen

In honor of the coming festival of Pesach, members of the congregation are invited to participate in the “Each Bottle a Contribution” and Kimcha D’fischa campaign of Keren B’chavod (our movement’s social justice fund).  Contributions will go towards providing food baskets for underprivileged families in Israel (each basket is 180 NIS), as well as funding the many other programs of Keren B’chavod throughout the year.  In appreciation, all those donating over 50 NIS will receive a bottle of wine.

How does it work? All those interested in contributing are asked to contact Har-El’s administrator Shany Shlomo by email: [email protected].  Shany will pass on the names and phone numbers to Keren B’chavod, and a representative of Keren B’chavod will reach out to each donor.  The bottles of wine can be picked up from the congregation during the week or following Shabbat services (Friday and Saturday).

For those living overseas and would like to contribute, please click here.

ABOUT US
Kehilat Har-El, established in 1958, is the founding congregation of the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism. Led by its chairman, Zvi Giladi, Rabbi Ada Zavidov, and Cantor Evan Cohen, the congregation lives and preserves the deep religious heritage of our people while actively striving for the continued development and renewal of Jewish tradition. Kehilat Har-El is located in the Jerusalem city-center and serves as a home to renew Judaism through prayer, study, social justice, culture, and art. Our members come from all walks of life: sabras as well as immigrants from around the world; Ashkenazim, Sefardim, and Jews-by-choice; and from all over Jerusalem and beyond. The doors of our congregation are open to all, and we look forward to seeing you at one of our congregation’s many activities!
