Kehilat Har-El’s 60th Anniversary!

On the weekend of Shabbat “Bo”, January 19-20, 2018, we will celebrate our congregation’s 60^th anniversary with services accompanied by our choir and piano, and with the presence of the leaders of our movement.

On Friday Evening, January 19, we will hear words of congratulations from Zvi Giladi, Har-El’s chairman, Reuven Marko, chairman of the Israel Movement for Reform and Progressive Judaism, and Rabbi Paul Cohen, senior rabbi of our sister congregation Temple Jeremiah in Northfield, Illinois.  That same evening, we will dedicate five new Torah covers that were donated by members of our congregation in memory of those dear to them.  Light refreshments will follow the service.
